Key Responsibilities

  • Own the accuracy, consistency, and usability of CAD symbol graphics for assigned product lines or systems.

  • Analyze complex product changes and determine their impact across CAD libraries, planning systems, and downstream tools.
  • Establish and maintain standards for CAD content structure, quality, and documentation.
  • Independently analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement improvements to CAD development, testing, and publishing processes.
  • Lead efforts to enhance tools, workflows, and systems to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Influence operational policies, procedures, and best practices related to CAD content and planning systems.
  • Provide technical direction and review for CAD content developed by other designers or external vendors.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues within the CAD domain.
  • Partner closely with the project manager to support delivery by clarifying requirements, resolving technical risks, and validating outcomes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to CAD Designers and other employees within the job area.
  • Review work produced by others and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to onboarding, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively across and beyond the Technology organization, including with product teams, engineering, dealers, vendors, and external partners.
  • Represent the CAD function in cross-functional initiatives and operational discussions.
  • Influence stakeholders outside the job family on matters affecting CAD standards, workflows, and system usage.
