This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates to join our Global Strategic Sourcing, as a Senior Buyer (Senior Analyst), Procurement. The role is located in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Execution and support of the North American region (NAR) purchasing strategy for the Steis incally the Mexico operations. This will include managing daily operations, leading productivity or Engineering and Technology projects, and supporting supplier relationships to achieve cost, quality and delivery performance.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing suppliers to improve cost, quality and delivery performance
  • Execution or support of supply agreements
  • Leading cross functional teams to execute Engineering and Technology projects
  • Identifying and leading cost-reduction efforts
  • Supporting monthly forecast activities
  • Leading or supporting supply operations risks
  • Responsible for all RFQs for Whirlpool Mexico

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years of experience in Procurement or Manufacturing

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Manufacturing, Supply Chain
  • Understanding of Supply Chain, Supplier management and Sourcing principles
  • Demonstrated project, time management and multitasking skills
  • Analytical and computer related skills, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
