We are looking for a Senior Buyer Interiors to join our Headquarter at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO).

You will report to the Head of Electrics and Interiors and be responsible for the complete management of material group within Interiors, Electrics and Electronics commodities.

As member of the Procurement Dept. in the assigned commodities, you will be a fundamental key contributor for the achievement of the company objectives. Our Procurement Dept. mission is to support the company in delivering cutting hedge technical solutions on-time with perfect quality at the right cost, so that as a company we can always exceed the expectations of our customers. You will be a contributor of innovation scouting (both technologies and supplier base) and the focal point between Suppliers and Product Development team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading price negotiations and mediate award decisions through a worldwide Bidder’s List
  • Able to analyze the structure and activities related to the development of SW contents.
  • Experience in project management, ability to plan and coordinate activities related to technical evaluations, proof of concept and implementation of new content related to both connectivity and standard components.
  • Excellent negotiation skills on interiors components, HW and SW components and services
  • Identifying & Leading cost Saving Ideas including supplier visits at plant
  • Scouting for New Suppliers and Innovation with a deep focus on Economics and Business Sustainability
  • Analysing new market trends and derive acquisition strategies in the Interiors, Electric and Electronic Commodities
  • Knowledge of electronic components required.
  • Being an active player in the VW Group Commodity Meeting, aligning the Purchasing Strategy with the other VW Brands (Porsche, Bentley, Audi, etc.)
  • Early involvement in the Project to Define best Technology to match project Needs & Target
  • Working with the latest e-procurement solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package
  • Active member of cross functional teams

About you

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • Proven experience in the role or similar roles in Procurement/Supply Chain
  • Know how and experience in Interiors, Electric and Electronics Components
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for problem solving.
  • Fluent English, German will be considered a plus
  • Good negotiations skills
  • Able to manage complex supply chain
