About Our Client:

Our client is a leading multinational company with operations in Batam, specializing in designing and manufacturing electronic products and components for globally recognized brands. They support industry leaders in the design, production, and distribution of household electrical appliances. In Indonesia, the company serves as a vital production center in its worldwide network, prioritizing efficient manufacturing alongside sustainable practices.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Buyer to join our clients procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing direct material procurement, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting new project material availability. This role requires strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Senior Buyer, you will also act as a team leader, providing guidance and support to team members while driving continuous improvement within the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Product team and coordinate new project materials to ensure timely availability and adherence to production schedules.
• Address and resolve material quality issues and complaints effectively.
• Support new supplier audits and new part process audits, including audit sampling and release follow-up.
• Manage direct material ordering, daily delivery schedules, vendor delivery performance, and forecast management.
• Implement system setups for improved inventory control.
• Follow up on change requests and orders related to production materials.
• Act as a team leader, supporting daily routine management and assisting team members with problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Minimum 4 years of working experience in a Senior Buyer or similar procurement role.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and SAP knowledge.
• Understanding of Incoterms.
• Fluency in English (reading, speaking, and writing).
• The ability to understand and speak Mandarin will be an advantage.
• Willing to be placed in Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia.
