Job Description

 Direct material purchasing, including cost analysis, supplier development & management and price negotiation

 Indirect material purchasing, including MRO and capital

Ø Be responsible for sourcing activities of new projects and resourcing project, aligned with global sourcing strategy.

Ø Be responsible of supplier development with SQM

Ø Actively pursue new Supplier technologies (process and/or design) that support Cost Reduction Initiatives and the advancement of BorgWarner's Product Leadership/Innovation position.

Ø Develop expertise in factors relevant to BorgWarner Products such as component knowledge, applications / usage, processing knowledge, cost structure, global market, supplier capabilities, supplier market share, supplier benchmarking, etc.

Ø Manage prototype purchase work, make sure prototype parts purchase

Ø Be responsible for supplier management & improvement including performance on cost saving, capacity, delivery issue.

Ø Be responsible for direct/indirect material cost reduction

Ø Be responsible for direct material purchasing assigned by different commodities , indirect material and MRO (package, gauge, tooling, fixture, spare parts, equipment etc.)

Ø Complete other temporary cross-functional works as required by company.

Ø Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Ø Ensure the implementation of all company policies and regulations including position relevant responsibilities in the Safety Responsibility System and Energy Management Requirements of the company, which includes but not limited to the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.

Ø Meet EHS responsibilities requirement.

Requirements / Qualifications

Ø Bachelor’s degree and above. Majored in Supply Chain Management / Engineering / Business Management required;

Ø 5+ years purchasing experience in Auto company;

Ø Strong knowledge of direct purchasing management and improvement

Ø Be familiar with PPAP, APQP

Ø Understand of manufacturing process of some commodities-such as stampings, machining, plastics, casting, forging, bearing, rubber etc.

Ø Basic Financial analysis ability

Ø Good communication skill in Chinese and English (spoken and written)

Ø Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
