ReOrbit is looking for a Senior Buyer to own the full procurement lifecycle, from RFPs to contracts and eventual delivery, as we push the boundaries of space data transfer.
As our Senior Buyer, you will manage supplier relationships, lead complex sourcing initiatives, and handle everything from high-value subcontracts to everyday purchases

This role will be based in our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland.
Responsibilities
Leads the full RFP lifecycle from initial supplier engagement to proposal evaluation, negotiation, and contract award, ensuring alignment with technical and contractual requirements
Manages supplier relationships end-to-end, from RFP development through post-award administration, for high-value, high-complexity procurements.
Establishes and negotiates subcontract agreements, leveraging deep expertise in procurement strategy, supplier evaluation, and compliance-driven sourcing.
Serves as project owner for major sourcing initiatives, driving cross-functional coordination, timelines, and successful outcomes
Drives cost savings and value optimization through strategic sourcing, relationship building, and creativity
Takes initiatives to troubleshoot procurement related bottlenecks & challenges by liasing with Engineering and other relevant stakeholders.
No task is too small - you will own and manage high-complexity and high-dollar subcontracts AND track low-risk micropurchases/procurements
Skills and Requirements
7+ years of supply chain specific experience
Experience owning and managing strict budgets and schedules and can provide examples
Understands the various contract structures and their differences
Strategic sourcing experience, especially within Asian (India) and European marketsEnglish speaking (CFER C1 equivalent).
Interpersonal skills to establish rapport with the colleagues and gain their support in getting the job done.
Proactiveness in acting quickly,sharing progress updates regularly, and flagging risks or blockers early.

Space or aerospace experience in a commercial industry
A self starter - someone with confidence in their abilities and can jump right in
Ability to concisely and effectively communicate situations and issues with others
