Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Business Systems & Improvement Manager to lead the development and evolution of our Business Operating System (BOS). This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong governance, effective risk management, and consistent, high-quality project delivery across the business.

Acting as a bridge between operational delivery, business controls, and digital systems, you’ll embed robust processes, improve performance visibility, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll also support the transition from a compliance-led approach to a more integrated, digitally enabled operating model that enhances efficiency, control, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and phased implementation of the Business Operating System (BOS)

  • Drive improvements in governance, risk management, and operational performance across projects and functions

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to embed consistent, scalable, and efficient ways of working

  • Provide clear reporting and insight on performance, risk trends, and control effectiveness to senior leadership

  • Support the evolution of the business towards a fully integrated and digitally enabled operating model

  • Collaborate with Digital & IT teams to enhance systems, workflows, and access to performance data

  • Lead internal audit programmes and coordinate external certifications (e.g. ISO)

  • Ensure regulatory, health & safety, environmental, and information governance requirements are embedded

  • Facilitate forums and working groups to drive continuous improvement and organisational learning

  • Promote a culture of accountability, control, and continuous improvement across the business

About You

  • Proven experience in business systems, governance, operational improvement, or a similar role

  • Strong understanding of control frameworks, risk management, and assurance processes

  • Experience working across digital or business transformation initiatives

  • Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight

  • Experience managing audits, compliance frameworks, or certification processes

  • Knowledge of ISO standards or similar frameworks (desirable)
