Job Description

This role requires both strong technical acumen and mandatory hands-on experience in Risk regulatory reporting and Finance regulatory reporting.

Role purpose

The resource translates business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications for data-oriented solutions. The role connects business stakeholders with IT architects, developers, testers and application administrators, while maintaining a strong understanding of the wider systems and data landscape.

Responsabilities

  • Engage with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ideas. Challenge and refine demand and provide recommendations on feasibility, rationale, benefits and risks.
  • Analyze functional and performance impacts on target systems, connected systems and the broader IT environment.
  • Provide estimates for exploration and detailed analysis. Identify and communicate impediments early.
  • Transform business requirements into structured functional and non-functional specifications using the applicable methodology.
  • Work with accountable design roles to shape the functional solution and document functional decisions.
  • Provide clarifications during development and testing, support ST/SIT and UAT scenario definition, and maintain approved requirement changes.
  • Assist system administrators during stabilization and with errors linked to implemented requirements.
  • Review and improve BSA deliverables and maintain a high standard of project documentation.
  • Perform functional and gap analysis for application procurements and RfPs, document additional requirements, and contribute to evaluation.
  • Maintain functional and technical knowledge, organize area documentation, prepare training, and share good practices.
  • Act as subject matter expert, mentor colleagues and guide complex cases or exceptions.
  • Where assigned, support BIA and IAM topics, policies and procedures, audits, risk actions and operational incident follow-up

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of relevant Business Systems Analysis experience for the senior profile.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in both Risk regulatory reporting and Finance regulatory reporting is mandatory.
  • Previous financial-services experience and participation in large banking software development projects are mandatory.
  • Practical experience implementing data management solutions, including data warehouse and reporting systems.
  • Advanced capability in at least one SQL technology, such as T-SQL, PL/SQL or DB2 SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of business-requirement analysis and structured functional and non-functional specification methods.
  • Understanding of SDLC roles and stages, with experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery.
  • Bachelor or master degree in economics, finance, computer science or a related field.
  • Advanced or fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred experience and tools

  • Data warehouse, data integration and BI technologies.
  • JIRA, Confluence, UML, query utilities, documentation, mock-up and diagramming tools.
  • Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
  • Coaching, mentoring, training and relevant professional certifications.
