The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a seasoned individual contributor who leads systems analysis efforts for complex, large-scale enterprise technology initiatives. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role drives cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to deliver strategic insights and actionable recommendations throughout all phases of initiatives. As a senior team member, the analyst will serve as a trusted advisor, providing mentorship, and technical guidance to less experienced analysts while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • (30%) Requirements Leadership & Systems Analysis:
    Lead the elicitation, analysis, and validation of business and functional requirements for complex, large-scale enterprise initiatives. Drive alignment between business needs and technology solutions by translating strategic objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements. Provide analytical leadership to guide solution direction and support informed decision-making.
  • (25%) Solution Design & Technical Documentation:
    Lead the development and governance of high-quality solution artifacts, including technical workflows, technical specifications, and data mapping. Ensure documentation supports scalable, compliant, and well-architected solutions, and maintains traceability from business requirements through implementation.
  • (20%) Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Management:
    Foster cross-functional alignment across Business, Technology, and QA stakeholders to support successful solution delivery. Proactively identify risks, assess impacts, and lead resolution of complex issues and dependencies. Ensure solution alignment with business objectives and delivery timelines.
  • (10%) System Impact Analysis and Organizational Assessment: Support system and organizational impact analysis by evaluating upstream and downstream effects, documenting impacts, and ensuring stakeholder awareness of changes.

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • 5 years of business systems analysis experience, preferably within Information Technology and/or the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business systems analysis efforts across multiple large-scale, complex initiatives simultaneously with minimal oversight.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements that support enterprise objectives and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience facilitating collaboration across business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, testers, and project leadership.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business challenges and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience supporting the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile delivery methodologies, requirements traceability, testing coordination, implementation readiness, and post-production support activities.
  • Experience ensuring alignment with organizational governance, security, risk, and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting and analyzing system workflows, system integrations, APIs, data mapping, and technical dependencies.
  • Ability to conduct impact analysis, identify risks and gaps, and support solution design and delivery decision-making.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives, system integrations, and large cross-functional technology projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and navigating ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement, governance, and analysis best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years business systems analysis, preferably within Information Technology and/or Financial Institution experience
