Job Description


Primary contact between business stakeholders and IT teams in aligning technology solutions with
business objectives
Leads the design, configuring, and maintenance of automation and integration to systems across the
Systems Development Lifecycle, which are aligned to business processes and relevant governance.
Provides subject matter expertise, technical know-how, experience, oversight and guidance for others
in respect of a system, portfolio or function.

Key Performance Areas

1. Understanding business requirements and translating specifications into systems solutions,

system architecture and design

3. Write technical test cases and perform unit testing.

4. Quality and on-time delivery of technical system support.

Requirements


Systems Analyst / Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications, system architecture, and design solutions.

  • Design, configure, and integrate new systems or enhancements to existing systems.

  • Develop integration components and APIs and ensure effective system data modelling and flow.

  • Track and report on technical design and development progress across projects.

  • Write technical test cases, perform unit testing, and support quality assurance processes.

  • Provide technical guidance during system implementation and go-live support where required.

  • Deliver ongoing system support and troubleshooting, ensuring systems meet SLA and performance standards.

  • Identify opportunities for system optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement.

  • Support and enhance automation and system integrations within the environment.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members and ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.

Experience
Minimum:

  • 4+ years’ experience in systems analysis, system design, software development, or systems engineering.

  • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.

  • Experience providing technical guidance, quality assurance, or mentoring within a team.

  • Advantageous:

  • Experience working with enterprise or financial systems environments.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology.

  • ITIL certification advantageous.

Technical Knowledge

Strong knowledge of:

  • Systems analysis methodologies and requirements documentation

  • SQL (MySQL / Microsoft SQL)

  • API integrations (REST, SOAP, Web Services)

  • Automation tools and integration frameworks

  • Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)

  • Quality assurance best practices

  • Jira and Confluence

Technical Skills

Exposure to or experience with:

  • Java, C#, Python, or .NET frameworks

  • Postman / SOAP tools

  • XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
