We are working closely with a local authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Senior Business Support Officer ,on a 3- months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £118.00- £155.49 per day



Senior Business Support Officer is responsible to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Risk & Insurance Team within the Finance & Resources Directorate. The successful candidate will play a key role in the accurate administration of insurance claims, maintaining case management records, supporting insurance tenders and renewals, and ensuring the efficient delivery of business support services. 

Responsibilities

  • Input, update, and maintain insurance claims data within the Council's claims management system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for insurance tenders, policy renewals, broker submissions, and procurement activities.
  • Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems to support audit, compliance, and information governance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Council policies, insurance procedures, data protection legislation, and financial regulations.
  • Undertake additional administrative and business support duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or business support role, preferably within a public sector or corporate environment.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and managing high volumes of data entry.
  • Experience preparing reports, correspondence, and business documentation.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
