The Data, Economics & Analytics (DEA) Division plays a central role in Enterprise Singapore’s data transformation journey by strengthening the organisation’s data foundations to support informed decision making, policy development, and enterprise growth.

This role partners stakeholders across the organisation to establish robust data governance, management, and security practices, enabling trusted, well managed data to be effectively used across systems, processes, and analytics.

[What you will be working on]

This role plays a key part in strengthening Enterprise Singapore’s data governance and management capabilities to ensure data is reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.

Data Governance & Quality

  • Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and trusted.

  • Establish and maintain data management practices, including clear data definitions, documentation, and lifecycle processes.

  • Drive continuous data quality improvements through effective checks, controls, and issue resolution.

Data Security, Protection & Compliance

  • Strengthen data security and compliance practices, including access controls, data classification, incident management, and adherence to data protection requirements.

Data Strategy & Enablement

  • Contribute to the development of data strategies and plans, including data architecture, usage, and analytics.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify data needs and sources, and ensure systems and processes support consistent data capture, integration, and reporting.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend practical, innovative solutions to enhance data management and usage (e.g. data catalogues, metadata tools).

Business Partnership & Capability Building

  • Partner business units to establish clear data ownership, align on data definitions, and embed good data practices in day-to-day operations.

  • Work with stakeholders to strengthen data literacy and build data capabilities across the organisation.

  • Promote greater data awareness by providing guidance and consultation (e.g. on data classification, proper handling of data, and addressing data-related queries).

[What we are looking for]

What You’ll Be Using and Applying

  • A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data governance and management (including data quality, data ownership, data definitions, access controls, and data protection requirements), data security, or related roles.

  • Ability to apply data tools and technologies such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI in a work setting.

  • Exposure to data management, metadata, or data catalogue tools would be an advantage.

  • Experience working in the Singapore public sector or large, complex organisations would be an advantage.
