The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior (Level 5) Business Operations Specialist to support the Director, Enterprise Safety Promotion and Positive Safety Culture in Everett, WA or Seattle, WA

This role will function as a Chief of Staff to the Director and will serve as a trusted advisor, key integrator, and operational leader for the team.

The successful candidate will help drive alignment, execution, and accountability across priorities, ensuring that leadership direction is translated into clear actions, timely decision-making, and measurable outcomes. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong program management expertise, strategic thinking and experience with the many Boeing processes including budget management/LRBP in a dynamic business environment.

This position will play an important role in enabling leadership effectiveness, strengthening team coordination, and supporting efforts to advance enterprise safety promotion and a positive safety culture across Boeing.

Successful candidates should be able to:

Provide the right information at the right level of detail at the right time. Identify and turn actions into implemented improvements. Ensure right tools, methods and processes are used to provide structure and integration. Engage senior leaders and provide strategic direction. Anticipate and ensure current activities align with priorities. Understand data sources and utilize data analytics and tools. Rapidly identify issues, trend analysis and insights to radically improve business decisions. Move with speed and agility in supporting our targets among the changing environments. Provide a framework for data-driven decision-making.

Primary responsibilities:

Leadership Support

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary support partner to the Director, Enterprise Safety Promotion and Positive Safety Culture.
  • Anticipate leadership needs and ensure the right information is available at the right time to support effective decision-making.
  • Manage priorities, follow-up actions, key communications, and leadership requests with a high degree of discretion and accuracy.
  • Support strategic planning, issue resolution, and leadership preparation through clear, concise, and decision-ready materials.

Program Management and Operating Rhythm

  • Apply program management best practices to coordinate execution of team priorities, initiatives, and deliverables.
  • Establish and manage the team operating rhythm, including meeting cadence, action tracking, look-ahead planning, and status reporting.
  • Track commitments, milestones, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Support coordination across internal stakeholders and enterprise partners to maintain alignment and accountability.

Organizational Effectiveness and Team Integration

  • Promote structure, clarity, and follow-through across the team’s activities and deliverables.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication across functions to support effective execution.
  • Maintain consistent documentation, tools, templates, and process discipline.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between leadership, team members, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Boeing Process and Tool Management and Support

  • Lead budget development, tracking, forecasting, and reporting activities for the organization. Lead LRBP planning and coordination for team.
  • Own internal processes as needed to support the team and external partners (e.g. MARS, ESATS, NBAR, DPAR, Ariba, etc.)
  • Familiarity and experience using teaming tools like Salesforce, Smartsheets, Teams, Workfront, etc.
  • Ownership of vendor management including relationship with supplier management, contracts and invoicing

Executive Presentation and Reporting

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to support leadership decisions and measure progress against objectives.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, briefings, and reporting materials that are accurate, concise, and action-oriented.

Continuous Improvement and Cultural Enablement

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and operational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Help ensure tools, templates, and processes are consistently maintained and effectively used.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA or Seattle, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience do you have utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
  • Experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership, including creating executive level briefings
  • Knowledge and application of program management best practices in a program environment
  • Experience do you have executing budget management principles and practices?
  • Experience do you have deploying functional, business, or enterprise initiatives across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience with SAP Aribia computer software
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with program and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, or equivalent)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Pay Range $156,400.00 - $211,600.00
