Advantest is the world's largest provider of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) to the semiconductor industry. For seven decades, Advantest has led the way in developing new and innovative test and handling solutions for the global electronics industry. As part of our commitment to innovation, we are expanding our Global Thermal R&D Team to develop advanced thermal control strategies for next-generation semiconductor test environments.

Advantest is looking for a Senior Business Leader – Thermal Technology Operations to join our team in Asia (specific country to be determined based on strategic considerations). This is a unique opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Business Leader to establish and lead a full operational infrastructure for thermal technology and product offerings within the semiconductor industry. This role will be pivotal in building a robust operational entity that supports global business units across the USA, Japan, and Germany.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establish a complete operational infrastructure for thermal technology products in Asia.
• Work closely with the Technical Leader of the Global Thermal Team to create an entity capable of producing all thermal products for worldwide business units.
• Develop and implement a reliable supply chain strategy in a low-cost region
• Set up manufacturing facilities focused on electromechanical assembly as the primary internal capability.
• Build and manage a cost-effective engineering team (electrical and mechanical) to complement system architects located in the USA, Japan, and Germany.
• Drive operational excellence, cost optimization, and scalability to meet global demand.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality requirements for semiconductor thermal products.
• All other duties and tasks that may be required.

Qualifications

Requirements, Education & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Ideal candidates have 10-15+ years of leadership experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing operations.
• Proven track record in setting up supply chains and manufacturing facilities in Asia or other low-cost regions.
• Knowledge in the following manufacturing and supply chain areas: Cold Plate, Evaporators, Condensing Units, Chillers, Refrigerants, Coolants, Thermal Interface Material, Heat Sinks, Ceramic and Cartridge Heaters, and similar products
• Strong background in electromechanical assembly and engineering team development.
• Strategic planning and execution.
• Cross-cultural leadership and global collaboration.
• Expertise in operational efficiency and cost management.
• Working with and establishing external supply chain partnerships
• This is an on-site role in Asia (specific country to be determined based on strategic considerations)

Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):

• Experience working with global teams across multiple regions.
• Familiarity with thermal technology and semiconductor industry standards.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

• Chinese language welcome but not mandatory.
