Job Description

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analytics role.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, including complex querying, window functions, common table expressions (CTEs), and performance tuning. Ability to work efficiently with large and complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with leading BI platforms such as Power BI (including DAX), Tableau (including LOD expressions), or Looker (including LookML).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience designing schemas for analytical workloads.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practical experience working within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Power BI, Data Factory, and OneLake.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience using AI features within BI tools for predictive analytics and insights.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or R for data analysis is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy robust BI solutions, including interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical models using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data models (e.g., star schemas) to support reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across departments (Finance, Marketing, Operations) to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and deliver relevant analytical solutions.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by establishing and enforcing data governance standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior analysts, promote data literacy, and act as a subject matter expert for BI tools and methodologies within the organization.
