Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant (Sr. Assistant Vice President) within the Product Risk Management & Enablement team of Wells Fargo Auto, a line of business within the Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) organization. This role serves as a key risk management partner supporting the Auto Product, Analytics and Digital Innovation (PADI) organization by executing initiatives that strengthen controls, enhance risk management practices, and improve operational processes while supporting the successful delivery of business and product strategies.

This highly collaborative role offers the opportunity to work across business, risk, compliance, and technology functions to implement solutions that reduce risk, strengthen governance, and improve operational efficiency. The successful candidate will support efforts to assess and enhance the control environment while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate activities, and strengthen risk management practices throughout the product lifecycle. This individual will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Wells Fargo Auto risk and control framework while supporting innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute cross-functional Impact Analysis for remediation, control enhancement, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform assessments using fact-finding, data analysis, and root cause evaluation to identify risks, assess control effectiveness, and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Support the design, implementation, and documentation of controls intended to mitigate risk exposure, improve operational resiliency, and create efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Identify and escalate control gaps, implementation risks, and process inefficiencies while partnering with stakeholders on remediation activities.
  • Analyze complex business and operational issues and provide recommendations that support decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Partner with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams to strengthen governance practices and enhance monitoring and automation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Business Execution team members and leaders to support strategic initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Support the execution of regulatory, audit, and issue management activities by coordinating deliverables and tracking remediation efforts.
  • Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and support to peers while contributing to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience executing complex projects, including root cause analysis, current-state assessments, remediation activities, future-state process design, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and supporting remediation of operational, compliance, or product-related risks within complex or highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks, control design principles, and control effectiveness assessments.
  • Experience driving or supporting process improvement, operational efficiency, or control automation initiatives.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and complex environment.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, navigate ambiguity, and apply creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information effectively to audiences across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating across business, risk, compliance, technology, and functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, evaluate risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting audit, issue management, governance, or regulatory initiatives.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
