The Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team is dedicated to delivering our vision to bring innovative commerce experiences to merchants with Tap to Pay on iPhone and Apple Pay, and to replace the traditional wallet and deliver financial and wallet services that empower consumers, and provide an incredible user experience.

In this role, you will lead business development for Tap to Pay on iPhone in Australia + New Zealand, developing strategies and implementing actions to drive adoption and usage of the service in Australia + New Zealand. Additionally, you will drive acceptance of Wallet Services and Apple Pay through payment platforms.

You'll manage partner implementations and relationships, and contribute to the adoption of new features and services. Collaboration is key, as you'll work cross-functionally with Technical, Product, Operations, Legal, and Marketing teams within Apple, as well as with our ecosystem of partners, including card networks, acquirers, payment service providers, commerce platforms and merchants.

This is a full-time role within the Wallet, Payments, and Commerce team, based in our Sydney office.

Lead business development for Tap to Pay on iPhone in Australia + New Zealand, including partner acquisition and onboarding and driving growth and optimisation with existing partners

Develop strategies to drive and scale the acceptance of Wallet services (including membership passes, ticketing, and new services under development) and Apple Pay through payment platforms.
Establish, develop, and nurture strong business relationships with payment providers, merchants, utilities, financial service providers, carriers and other key players in the acceptance value chain.
Lead all aspects of partner relationships, from day-to-day management to the introduction of new projects and features.
Drive partner implementation of solutions and features, providing technical and project management support and ensuring all product requirements are met to the highest standards.
Monitor, track, and optimize the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with Apple Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap, leveraging insights gained from the market, partners, and customers.

Provide clear and concise communications to business leaders within Apple and partner organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in payments or related digital services, along with knowledge of the local payment and wallet services acceptance landscape.
Experience leading business development, ideally within payments or related services, including customer acquisition and partnership management.
Excellent judgment, presence, and interpersonal skills; experience working effectively with a wide range of cross-functional teams, both internal and external.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable managing evolving priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
Analytical skills, with the ability to assess opportunities from multiple perspectives (both quantitative and qualitative), and drive appropriate performance tracking and analysis.
A collaborative team player who is passionate about achieving outstanding results.
Willingness to travel regionally on occasion.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
5-10+ years of experience in business development or partnership roles.
Prior experience in technical implementations would be preferable
