We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager (f/m/x) to build and scale consumer partnerships for wirkaufendeinauto.de and Autohero across Europe.

This is not account management and it is not a classic marketing role. We are looking for a commercial problem solver and dealmaker who can identify a major opportunity, build the business case, convince senior decision-makers and turn an idea into a signed, live and profitable partnership.

You will work directly with our VP Marketing, with high exposure and significant ownership from day one. The problems will not always be clearly defined and the path will rarely be handed to you. We expect you to create it.

Job Description

• Build our European partnership pipeline — identify and prioritize large partners such as banks, insurers, leasing companies, mobility players and comparison platforms whose customers are selling or buying cars
• Turn opportunities into business cases — understand both sides of the deal, model bought cars or net sales, Gross Profit and costs, structure the commercial model and decide which opportunities are worth pursuing
• Get deals done — originate opportunities, design win-win partnerships, negotiate with senior counterparts and drive the process from first conversation through contracting to a live partnership
• Turn deals into working businesses — translate partnerships into requirements for widgets, APIs, tracking and data flows and coordinate partners, Tech, Legal and other teams until everything is live and measurable
• Scale what works across Europe — act as the HQ hub for Country VPs, bring local pipelines into one European view, identify winning partnerships and push their replication across markets
• Own and grow the portfolio — track live partnerships and existing integrations, improve performance, challenge underperforming setups and give the VP Marketing a clear view of results, pipeline and next moves

Qualifications

• You are exceptionally strong at structured problem solving — a background in top-tier consulting, strategy, high-growth business development or a similarly demanding environment is a strong advantage
• You have a track record of getting deals done — you have built business cases, structured commercial models and ideally originated, negotiated and scaled partnerships with large corporate partners yourself
• You are analytically and commercially very strong — you quickly turn ambiguous opportunities into numbers and think in unit economics, Gross Profit and measurable business outcomes rather than traffic or leads
• You understand enough tech to get things built — APIs, widgets, tracking and data flows don't need to be built by you, but you can translate a commercial idea into clear requirements and drive implementation with Tech
• You can influence without authority — you can challenge Country VPs, partner executives and senior internal stakeholders through facts, preparation and persistence rather than hierarchy
• You are AI-first, highly driven and comfortable with pressure — you use AI to research, model and work faster, take ownership without waiting for instructions and thrive in a demanding environment. Fluent German and English are mandatory
