Your impact and responsibilities:
This Senior BDM role offers an exciting leadership opportunity in our Sales & Marketing team, based in our Mulgrave head office, supporting Daimler Truck Dealers throughout Australia and New Zealand. The purpose of this role is to maximise the potential of our dealers and maximise growth opportunities by managing the implementation and training of our financial services products throughout our network, providing strategic and operational leadership across an engaged and high-performing retail sales channel. In this dynamic role, you’ll also lead the development and delivery of our finance products across Australia and New Zealand, driving innovation from concept to launch, ensuring customer retention and lifecycle management is optimised.
Reporting into the Head of Sales and Marketing, your key responsibilities will include:
Serving as the primary liaison for the assigned dealer network, responsible for both retail, fleet and wholesale performance
Driving retail and fleet finance acquisitions by building strong dealer relationships and identifying new business opportunities
Conducting regular, strategic visits to dealerships to strengthen relationships, provide performance reporting, identify business opportunities, and provide advanced on-site training and support
Monitoring dealer sales performance, providing regular feedback, and developing strategies to boost finance penetration rates
Deal facilitation, coaching and providing sound technical financial guidance to close complex deals
Wholesale finance management, overseeing the management of dealer partners’ portfolios
Preparing, analysing and presenting detailed performance reports and forecasts to senior dealership management, providing strategic insights into dealer-specific performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement- along with detailed action plans
Leading and mentoring the Business Development team, including overseeing the entire dealer network's performance, providing support and guidance to drive finance volume
Working closely with brand Business Development Managers and teams to build understanding of DTFS value proposition and products
Explore, research, develop and maintain new and existing finance products
Define and execute product strategy, including pricing, structure, lifecycle management, and performance optimization
Act as the commercial owner, accountable for product profitability, uptake, and competitiveness
Work with Product and Retention specialist to design and implement a best-in-class retail customer retention strategy.

You will possess the ability to connect with and understand your customers’ business needs and have the ability to apply the right solution for their desired outcomes by fostering strong relationships and taking a proactive approach to managing your accounts. With your strong business acumen and ability to understanding financial data, you will successfully navigate customer needs and tailor financial solutions and drive strong referrals. As you will support dealers throughout Australia and New Zealand, frequent travel will be necessary to ensure continued growth and sustained customer satisfaction.
This is a great leadership opportunity for someone who has significant Financial Services or Commercial Vehicle business development experience, and is looking to join a global Financial Services organisation and expand your career.
