Job Description

About Crowdcube:

As Europe’s premier private market infrastructure and investment platform, Crowdcube connects high-growth private companies with a HNW and retail investors in more than 120 countries. We provide end-to-end liquidity solutions—from later-stage primary capital raises to liquidity-generating secondary transactions for founders, early investors, and employees.

Our mission is to modernize private market liquidity. Having powered capital raises for global category leaders like Revolut, Wayve, Monzo and thousands more we are expanding our footprint to support more companies across the UK and EU.

What You Will Be Doing We are looking for an ambitious Senior Business Development Executive to join our Commercial team, targeting high-growth, Series A to pre-IPO businesses across Europe. You will drive revenue by pitching our dual value proposition: raising primary capital and executing structured secondary liquidity rounds for scaling companies.

  • Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Management: Proactively identify, pitch, and win high-prospect, often venture-backed startups, scale-ups, and later-stage companies.
  • Capital & Liquidity Strategy: Partner with C-suite executives, founders, and institutional backers to deliver tailored capital-raising strategies and secondary share sales.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Build direct relationships with venture capital firms, corporate advisors, and legal partners across the UK and European startup and private market ecosystem.
  • Full-Cycle Execution: Manage the commercial sales cycle from initial outbound outreach to high-level negotiations, closing agreements, and handing off to operational execution teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Work with marketing and sales enablement to track funding rounds, venture trends, and secondary market developments to position Crowdcube as the leading private market partner.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 3+ years of B2B sales or deal-sourcing experience within financial tech, venture capital, investment banking, or high-growth SaaS environments.
  • Ecosystem Expertise: Strong familiarity with one or more of the following is preferred: the start-up and later-stage venture ecosystem, cap tables, capital structure, and secondary liquidity mechanics.
  • Strategic Selling: Proven track record of pitching to C-level decision-makers, navigating multi-stakeholder deals, and consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Process-Driven Mindset: High comfort level managing complex, multi-month sales cycles while keeping Hubspot pipeline data immaculate.

What we are offering:

We like to nurture talent and ensure members of our team develop and hone their skills through training, attending conferences and subscriptions to online courses. We’re passionate and hard-working, and we take care of our team:

  • £55K - £65K + 30% commission (OTE) uncapped (DOE)
  • Participation in the employee share option plan (subject to the prevailing company policy at the time)
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + holiday for tenure
  • Hybrid working approach.
  • Pension Scheme at 4% matched (UK Residents Only)
  • Private Medical Scheme with AXA including dental and optical cash plans
  • Access to Oliva, a mental health platform
  • Life Assurance Scheme (4 x salary)
  • A wellbeing budget of up to £400 per year.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Company perks such as fruit, snacks and weekly office beers

Our interview process typically consists of an initial phone screen, an interview with the hiring manager and a task, followed by a final interview with other members of the team. There aren't any trick questions and the task will typically be based on a real scenario the team have worked on.

Our policy is to employ the best-qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief or disability.
