About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an individual to join our Clients and Markets team as a Senior Business Development Executive supporting our Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Sector.
The Clients & Markets team is at the heart of the firms’ vision to be a leading sector focused, international law firm and to deliver distinctive client experience. The team is responsible for outstanding business development support, client service delivery, sector-focus, client-focused growth and other major firm-wide initiatives that are central to the firms’ ambitious growth plans.
As a Senior Business Development Executive, you will be required to support the Senior BD Manager for Real Estate Sector and Practice Groups, and to drive business development for any sub-groups with direct responsibility. You will also manage activities contributing to the delivery of the firm's client strategy and sector focus.
The role will be based in Birmingham but travel to other offices and external locations will be expected.
About you:
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates previous experience in law, real estate, or the professional services sector. You’ll be a self-motivated and positive team player with a can-do attitude, able to take the initiative and build relationships and rapport at all levels across the firm.
You will take personal responsibility for shaping the scope and impact of your role, proactively suggesting improvements to systems and processes, and finding new ways to apply your expertise to benefit projects, the team, and the wider organisation. Working at a strategic level, you’ll bring the bigger picture and the firm’s objectives into discussions and decision-making.
The role requires someone who can work to tight deadlines with flexibility, delivering tasks and projects on time and to a high standard. You’ll be confident in handling different perspectives and using a persuasive approach to agree on direction and solutions with colleagues, partners, and other stakeholders.
Excellent organisational and project management skills are essential, along with strong attention to detail and outstanding grammar and communication abilities. You’ll demonstrate proactivity, curiosity, drive, and a willingness to learn new skills and ideas, while being happy to support other individuals and teams when needed.
Strong IT skills are a must, with extensive experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience or a qualification in marketing would be advantageous but is not essential.
