Position: Senior Business Architect

Role Overview

The Senior Business Architect plays a critical role in
shaping and aligning business architecture within a complex public-sector
environment. This role focuses on analyzing programs and services, developing
business and service models, and ensuring alignment with enterprise
architecture standards and target-state objectives. The individual will lead
research, discovery sessions, and workshops, contribute to business
transformation planning, and support architectural governance across business,
application, technology, and security domains.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Analyze
  information relevant to program design and business architecture within a
  government context.
• 
  Lead
  and conduct research, discovery sessions, focus groups, and stakeholder
  workshops.
• 
  Develop
  program and service definitions aligned to architectural standards and
  target-state architecture.
• 
  Create
  and maintain business capabilities, service integration models, and
  governance frameworks.
• 
  Develop
  and maintain business architecture artefacts in accordance with enterprise
  architecture standards.
• 
  Model
  business architecture at enterprise, program, and service levels,
  including capability models, value streams, and accountability models.
• 
  Ensure
  alignment of business architecture with application, technology, and
  security domains.
• 
  Lead
  engagement through architectural governance checkpoints.
• 
  Contribute
  to business transformation plans and enterprise blueprints to align
  strategy with execution.

  Strong
  knowledge of business architecture methods, techniques, and tools.

  Proven
  experience delivering business architecture initiatives in government or
  large, complex organizations.
• 
  Ability
  to analyze business requirements and translate them into architectural
  models.

  of IT-enabled business transformation and public-sector operational
  environments.

  Excellent
  communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management
  skills.

  Experience
  developing enterprise architecture artefacts and models.

  Knowledge
  of recognized enterprise architecture frameworks.

Must Have:

• 
  Total
  IT experience of at least 10 years, out of which 5 years doing Business
  Architecture on large complex projects
• 
  Develop,
  lead and conduct Research Planning, Discovery and Workshops
• 
  Develop
  and lead interviews, requirements elicitation and synthesis
• 
  Creation
  of alignment of Business Architecture Document to the Solution
  Requirements Document (SRD) and the Information Architecture Document
  (IAD), as per best industry best practices, ensuring vertical
  integration.
• 
  Demonstrated
  knowledge and experience with Services modeling, Business Function
  Modeling, Business Process Modeling, proficient use of BPMN, Value Chain
  Analysis, Business Outcomes, Performance Measures and KPIs definition,
  Strategic, Legislative and Technology alignment,
• 
  Excellent
  communication skills - written and verbal + ability to package material
  for presentation.
