ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Analyst, Operations – Business Applications is an experienced and dynamic team player who will play a pivotal role in the implementation and ongoing support of Welltower’s Yardi Senior Voyager and accounting related modules. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to work cross-functionally to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiencies. The Senior Analyst, Operations – Business Applications will be required to work within a high demand, performance driven environment that focuses on implementing scalable solutions that are aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a strategic liaison between Property Accounting and system support, managing and resolving Yardi-related issues
  • Lead the administration and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts (COA), including creation of new accounts, updates to existing codes, and understanding of headers and total into accounts
  • Support and troubleshoot Custom Account Tree functionality, including setup and ongoing edits
  • Act as the point of contact for finance and accounting-related implementations and modules (e.g., Fixed Assets, Construction Manager, Intercompany, Procure-to-Pay, and Payment Processing)
  • Validate Trial Balance and AR data during operator transitions and acquisitions
  • Support corrections related to BOM and Property Accounting ledgers
  • Provide backup support for Medicaid-related processes as needed
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure system access and role provisioning align with internal controls and audit standards
  • Collaborate with internal support teams to identify and resolve system challenges
  • Assist the AVP, Operations in developing and delivering training programs that ensure operations teams are proficient in Yardi system functionality
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to agile and project-based workflows, helping drive continuous improvement in system processes and reporting

TRAVEL

Out-of-area and overnight travel should be expected as outlined in specific projects for which this role will engage.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of accounting, financial, operations, or technology implementation
  • Strong understanding of accounting best practices
  • Proven experience working on Yardi implementation projects
  • Preferred experience with Yardi’s Senior Voyager and associated modules
  • Project Management and Technical Support experience
  • Experience planning and working on implementations of system changes in a SOX environment is preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, real estate, computer science, or related field
  • Agile, Six Sigma, or PMP certification strongly preferred
