We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner directly with our client's product team to define and deliver functionality for their mobileapplicationadnweb site developmenton an agile cadence. This role requires agency or professional services experience—you must be comfortable with the fast pace, juggling multiple clientinitiatives, and rapidly ramping up on new domains and technologies. In this role, you will work independently as the primary liaison between the client and our internal development team, translating business needs into actionable requirements and ensuring successful delivery of features. You mustpossessstrong client-facing skills including the ability tofacilitaterequirementssessions, ask probing questions to uncover underlying needs, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. You willbe responsible forcreating comprehensive functional specifications based on design deliverables and writing detailed development tickets in collaboration with our architects, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution whilemaintainingexcellent relationships across all project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement elicitation sessions with client product team and stakeholders

  • Analyze and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements in clear, actionable formats

  • Work with architects and the development team to refine requirements and break them down into meaningful segments of work for implementation

  • Create functional specifications based on design artifacts, user flows, and business requirements

  • Manage product backlog and write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria to ensure development team clarity

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and requirements meetings.

  • Lead quality assurance activities including creating test cases, facilitating UAT with clients, and conducting regular showcases and demonstrations

  • Track and manage changes in project scope through effective change management processes

  • Provide ongoing support to address client questions and clarify requirements

  • Participate in estimation and scope creation activities with project managers

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a client-facing role

  • Experience working in an agency or professional services environment (understanding the pace, client service expectations, and project variety)

  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new domains, technologies, and client business models

  • Proven experience working on web and mobileapplication projects

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles

  • Proven ability to elicit business needs and translate them into functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with proven ability tofacilitate, negotiate, present, and adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with architects and technical teams

  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to work remotely and asynchronously with team members across different time zones

  • Proven track record of delivering on commitments and managing stakeholder expectations

  • Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Agile Product Owner, or Certified Scrum Master are advantageous

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The hourly pay range for this position is $34.56 - $50.00. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
