The Senior Business Analyst works with India / U.S teams and will be responsible for leading, building, and leveraging the latest Data Analytics technologies to resolve challenging problems in the Transaction Tax space. With direction from the U.S / India Teams, the individual must be able to gather process requirements, design, deploy solutions and manage project communications with minimal supervision. The individual is expected to be able to streamline document processing, train the machine learning model to extract the text from documents, develop, and design analytic workflows to ensure satisfactory project completion by maintaining the quality of every task received from India / U.S counterparts.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Create a positive team experience.
Attend and actively participate in meetings, offer ideas, insights, and recommendations towards process improvements, which will enable the team to improve its overall efficiency
Communicate with India / global counterparts to address any queries that they have / to let them know the status of the projects
Share the latest technology fundamentals and its functionalities knowledge and best practices with the team.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with databases as they arise within the team
Client:
Respond to client inquiries and requests in the given timelines
Timely communicate project status to Stakeholders
Ensure quality work product is delivered by adhering to all the Quality Assurance & control measures laid out without any deviation
Develop an understanding of Ryan service offerings
Assists in the extraction, and transfer of client data
Understand the stakeholders' requirement and develop or leverage the latest technology to meet the business needs
Coordinate the overall project workflow management in collaboration with designated teams (Processes/ Digital Tax Transformation/ Stakeholders/ etc.)
Develop an understanding of Ryan service offerings
Value:
Follows all applicable security policies concerning the client’s data and documentation.
Work on projects related to data importing, cleansing, extracting, transforming, validating, or modeling
Leverage text or optical character recognition tools to streamline document processing
Significantly reduce the investment in administrative time to manually input and review information directly from documents
Collect extracts key data points from unstructured documents and render the PDF documents along with the extracted data to pre-populate required fields based on the document type.
Train the machine learning model to extract the text from documents, develop, and design analytic workflows to ensure fulfill business needs
Download and extract information from different sources i.e. ERP/Accounting system
Build, implement and manage Alteryx workflows and macros using Excel, and Access VBA to eliminate or reduce manual intervention and improve the quality of the tasks
Develop user test cases and administer user acceptance testing/sign-off
Identify technical dependencies and recommend solutions that fulfill business needs
Complete tasks assigned by Management with a sense of urgency and confidentiality where needed.
Assist in reconciling and analyzing client data and performs reconciliation of client data using Microsoft® Access, Microsoft® SQL Server, and other tools.
Assist in the preparation of the final documentation of the data project.
Develop customized programming tools for Client task type
Solicit, analyze, evaluate, and report business stakeholder requirements
Lead and serve as a valued contributor in meetings, design sessions, and workshops
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Any Masters or Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of primary experience developing solutions in SQL databases, Python, and/or VBA
2+ years of experience with Alteryx (strongly preferred)
Skills:
Exposure to reinforcement learning techniques
Command of self-service data analytics tools such as Alteryx
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet navigation and Research
Knowledge of accounting processes as it applies to ERP systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and complex problem-solving capabilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment:
Current work hours are 2.00 PM to 11.00 PM, IST. Shift change is anticipated depending on global offices' work hours/time zone and business need
Candidate should be willing to work in any shift
A reasonable amount of overtime will be required during peak season
Standard indoor working environment
Position requires regular interaction with employees located in global offices both via e-mail and telephone
