ISS STOXX is growing! We are immediately seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our global Research Team. We offer an exciting, creative, team-oriented operations environment for someone looking to advance their career in Governance research.

The Business Analyst’s primary responsibility is to serve as the liaison between the Research team and the Technical Development team - lead the implementation of operational assessments and conducting functional requirements analysis for maintenance/enhancements/new services. This person will be responsible for managing the business needs of the project stakeholders (including end users), update and design documents to match the constant development of new features and functionalities of our applications.

While this is predominantly an office-based role, working unusual hours away from the office can be part of the role as our internal customers are based in the UK, Continental Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, storyboards, business process description, use cases, scenario, event lists, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis to create the Project Requirement Document and the Business Requirement Document
  • Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, scenarios, or process flows where appropriate
  • Analyze and map business processes (As Is / Should Be)
  • Create swim lane diagrams and business process models
  • Analyze processes and data to identify gaps or perform processes/ data mapping, coordinate the revalidation, track requests for updates and apply changes where necessary
  • Produce UI mockup screens, write use cases and document user acceptance criteria for each requirement
  • Lead requirements review sessions to ensure clarity, participate in requirements prioritization, manage traceability of information and track status throughout the project
  • Support quality assurance team with functional testing and the tracking of defects
  • Assist project managers with the development of project charters and project plans as necessary


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or any equivalent is required, preferably has attained a Business Analyst Certification (Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • At least 5 years of solid experience as a Business Analyst focusing on application development, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience in proxy advisory services business/ corporate governance research or sustainability research.
  • Excellent command in MS Office (knowledge of Microsoft Visio and data visualization tools is a plus)
  • Working knowledge in using Figma or a similar design tool
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (Fluency in English is essential)

Work Location & Schedule

  • Amenable working on a late dayshift/mid-shift schedule, as business requires.
  • Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days' work onsite per week)
