What You’ll Achieve

As an EHR Senior PAS Business Analyst at Dedalus, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and delivering innovative software solutions for the healthcare sector. You’ll join our high-performing Patient Administration (PAS) Business Unit (PBU), contributing your expertise across the entire product lifecycle—from design and build to testing, implementation, and ongoing support.

Working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, you’ll drive forward projects that make a real-world impact in hospital and health system performance, improving workflows and ultimately helping clinicians deliver better care.

In this role, you will:

• Provide functional and technical leadership across the full software delivery lifecycle, including application design, development, testing, and support.
• Ensure adherence to best-practice software engineering standards, quality frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and promote DevOps practices aligned with Dedalus’ software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead and support application development efforts, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, and delivery management.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and solution architects to define delivery direction, technical standards, and solution blueprints.
• Engage with internal regional and global teams and external stakeholders to define project scope, establish system goals, and capture business and technical requirements.
• Analyse, prioritise, and document functional requirements, data flows, and system processes (e.g. mapping, diagrams, flowcharts) to guide development and testing teams.
• Support the setup and configuration of PAS and related systems, ensuring alignment with clinical and administrative requirements.
• Coordinate and contribute to end-to-end testing, including test planning, execution, and defect resolution, to ensure delivery quality.
• Develop and maintain documentation, process artefacts, and training materials to support solution handover and user adoption.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Essential Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in IT, systems analysis, or business analysis roles.
• Proven experience working with webPAS, iPM, or equivalent Patient Administration Systems in a hospital or vendor setting.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to assess business needs and translate them into system solutions.
• Hands-on experience in application configuration, implementation, documentation, and support.
• 10+ years working in healthcare or hospital environments, ideally with a background in Health Information Management.
• Understanding of business process mapping, re-engineering, and system workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with contemporary delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Proof of Concept (PoC) approaches.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in the healthcare IT or clinical systems vendor landscape.
• Strong understanding of healthcare processes, especially within the ANZ region.
• Knowledge of health IT standards, interoperability, and digital health frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and clinical audiences.
• Experience working with an EMR in a hospital or vendor setting.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in business tools, documentation platforms, and project tracking software.
