Brighter Futures Start Here

At Kmart it’s not just what you do, it’s who you are that makes every day living brighter.

You’ll be joining a diverse team who come together to collaborate globally around tech. With six purchases made every second, you’ll feel the impacts of the work you’ll do for our millions of customers every day.

We’re focusing on being a customer-led, digitally enabled retailer. Our teams are working with really cool tech from AI/machine learning, IoT, cloud first solutions, to 3D virtual reality product checks and human sized robots named Tory. Join our team, choose your own path and work on projects that excite you.

Join our team

Kmart’s Customer Fulfilment Centres play a critical role in getting online orders into the hands of customers quickly, efficiently, and reliably. As online demand continues to grow, we're investing in the technology, processes, and ways of working that will improve fulfilment performance, increase efficiency, and support the next phase of our online growth.

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Fulfilment team and support a portfolio of initiatives focused on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), fulfilment processes, and operational technology. This is a 15-month fixed term opportunity suited to a self-starter who can bring structure to ambiguity, work independently, and help establish the frameworks, artefacts, and delivery discipline needed within a growing team.

You'll partner closely with fulfilment operations, engineering teams, continuous improvement specialists, and stakeholders across our Truganina and Moorebank Customer Fulfilment Centres. This role is ideal for someone who understands warehouse environments and can confidently bridge the gap between operational needs and technology delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Facilitating workshops and working with operational and technology stakeholders to define business needs and delivery priorities.
  • Translating complex fulfilment and warehouse processes into clear requirements, user stories, process maps, and supporting documentation.
  • Working closely with engineering teams to maintain healthy backlogs and ensure work is ready for delivery.
  • Supporting initiatives across warehouse management, fulfilment platforms, and operational systems.
  • Bringing structure and consistency to analysis activities, helping establish ways of working across a growing team.
  • Partnering with Customer Fulfilment Centre operations teams to understand challenges, impacts, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting testing, business readiness, and solution validation activities.
  • Working alongside Iteration Managers and delivery teams to improve planning, prioritisation, and delivery outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships across operations, technology, and vendor teams to drive alignment and successful outcomes.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in complex technology or operational environments.
  • Strong requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, process mapping, and backlog management experience.
  • The ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Experience operating as a senior BA and demonstrating lead-level behaviours when required.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both operational and technology teams.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Exposure to warehousing, fulfilment, logistics, distribution centres, WMS, or WCS environments is highly advantageous.
  • A practical, adaptable approach and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Perks and benefits we’ll offer you:

  • Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy, spending 60% of your week in our National Office
  • We’ll provide multiple ways for you to learn from online micro-credentialing in Udemy, support to gain certifications to tech community events and more.
  • Great career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group.
  • We offer inclusive leave and ongoing support for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstances.
  • Free onsite parking when you’re required to come into the office.
  • We want you to feel rewarded for your commitment and hard work that's why everyone gets the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.
  • A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Bunnings, and Officeworks.
  • A free OnePass membership offering free delivery across Kmart & Target on eligible products.
  • Access to the Brighter Benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health – with over 60 suppliers!
  • Reflection room, space for prayer, meditation, or time for yourself.
  • Wesfarmers is Kmart’s parent company and each year eligible employees can elect to purchase shares through a salary sacrifice arrangement.

A place you can belong

We celebrate the rich diversity of the communities in which we operate. We are committed to creating inclusive and safe environments where all our team members can contribute and succeed. We encourage you to tell us about any workplace adjustments that you would like, by emailing kmartgroupcareers@kmart.com.au
