Finastra has signed an agreement to sell its Universal Banking business to Pollen Street Capital, with completion expected end 2026 / early 2027, subject to consultation and customary closing conditions. Upon completion, this role is expected to transition to the standalone Universal Banking business, creating opportunities to support its future growth and success.

About the Role

We are building the next generation of corporate banking capabilities using a composable domain service approach, aligned to an agentic platform direction. Thisrepresentsa shift away from monolithic core systems towards modular, domain-aligned, API-first services that can be delivered incrementally and progressively modernised.

As a Senior Business Analyst for Corporate Banking (Cash & Liquidity), you will play a key role in shaping the domain knowledge, policy definitions, workflowlogicand decision models that underpin intelligent banking capabilities. In an agentic platform world, many traditional BA activities, including requirements elaboration, story generation and test scenario creation, will be AI-assisted. The human role therefore shifts from managing artefacts to owning domain intelligence, decision frameworks,governanceand measurable business outcomes.

Working closely with Product Owners, Product Managers,architectureand engineering teams, you will translate complex cash and liquidity processes into clear business rules, reusable knowledge models and implementation-ready guidance that support scalable, reusable services and human-in-the-loop operating models.

This role sits within the Corporate Banking Product Management function and supports delivery across foundational domains of the platform.

Domain Scope

You will support capabilities across cash and liquidity, including:

  • Nostro Management

  • Bank Limits

  • Notional Pooling

  • Credit Lines (liquidity context)

  • Cash Operations

  • Virtual Accounts

These capabilities form the backbone of liquidity visibility, control, and operational processing within corporate banking.Knowledge of bilateral and syndicated lending would be beneficial but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Domain and Knowledge Modelling

  • Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end corporate banking business flows across cash and liquidity domains.

  • Model business concepts, domain entities, events,relationshipsand constraints in a way that can be reused across services and agentic workflows.

  • Capture domain knowledge in clear, structured forms that can support both human decision-making and AI-assisted delivery activities.

  • Identifygaps, dependencies, boundary conditions and opportunities for simplification or reuse across domain capabilities.

Policy and Rule Definition

  • Define andmaintainbusiness rules, policies, validations, thresholds, exception paths and decision criteria across cash and liquidity processes.

  • Work with Product Owners and domain experts to ensure rules and policies areaccurate,auditableand aligned to business outcomes.

  • Support governance of domain knowledge so that AI-assisted requirements,storiesand test scenariosremainconsistent with intended business behaviour.

  • Clarify business rationale behind decisions,rulesand controls to support engineering,architectureand quality assurance.

Workflow and Decision Design

  • Analyse current-state and target-state workflows, including operational hand-offs, decision points, exceptionhandlingand human-in-the-loop interventions.

  • Design clear workflow and decision models that describe how users, services and agents should interact across a business process.

  • Translate high-level product intent into structured process flows, decision logic, dataexpectationsand functional outcomes.

  • Ensure workflow designs support scalable,reusableand domain-aligned service definitions.

AI-Assisted Requirements and Delivery Readiness

  • Use AI-assisted approaches to accelerate elaboration of requirements, user stories, acceptancecriteriaand test scenarios, whileretaininghuman accountability for accuracy and business intent.

  • Review,challengeand refine AI-generated artefacts to ensure they are complete, consistent,compliantand fit for engineering consumption.

  • Ensure traceability from domain goals,policiesand business outcomes through to implementation and validation.

  • Assistinidentifyingand resolving functional defects,gapsor ambiguities by grounding decisions in documented domain knowledge and business rules.

Collaboration and Governance

  • Work closely with Product Owners to refine backlog items, clarify decisionframeworksand align priorities to domain outcomes.

  • Partner with engineering teams to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities and support efficient delivery.

  • Support alignment with architecture, cross-domain dependencies, platformstandardsand agentic operating models.

  • Contribute to governance practices that ensure business knowledge, policies and decision logic remain transparent,explainableand reusable.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking, financialservicesor a comparable enterprise software environment.

  • Strong understanding of one or more of cash management, liquidity management, payments, transactionbankingor corporate banking operations.

  • Ability to understand and describe end-to-end business domain flows, including data, process, policy, decisioning and exception handling.

  • Experience defining business rules, policies, workflows, process models, dataexpectationsand functional outcomes.

  • Strong analytical thinking, structuredproblem-solvingand ability to turn complexity into clear, actionable guidance.

  • Experience working in agile delivery environments and collaborating closely with product,engineeringand architecture teams.

  • Comfortable using AI-assisted techniques to accelerate analysis and delivery activities, while applying strong judgement and domain ownership.

Desirable

  • Experience with corporate banking or core banking platforms.

  • Familiarity with API-based, event-drivenor cloud-native architectures.

  • Exposure to liquidity structures such as notional pooling or intraday liquidity.

  • Understanding of operational workflows in cash processing environments.

  • Exposure to knowledge modelling, decision modelling, rules engines, agenticworkflowsor human-in-the-loop operating models.

  • Knowledge of bilateral or syndicated lending in a liquidity or corporate banking context

The role requires close, continuous collaboration across product, engineering,architectureand domain specialists, with a strong emphasis on clarity,governanceand delivery readiness.
