Senior Business Analyst – Business Solutions Team

The Business Solutions team is a core part of Enterprise Technology, and at the core of everything we do is a commitment to empowering the people who serve our clients every day. As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be a trusted internal resource and strategic partner, working across the enterprise to understand complex needs and deliver solutions that make a real difference. Duties, Responsibilities & Other

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • Interface between end users, leadership, and our technical teams for complex projects, bridging the gap between technology and business stakeholders
  • Perform detailed requirements analysis, document processes, and conduct user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet the needs of stakeholders
  • Identify, prioritize, and translate technical and functional requirements into actionable solutions
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and end users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value across the enterprise
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis and evaluate solutions to determine what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
  • Stay current on the latest process and technology advancements to automate and modernize systems, including our ERP – Microsoft Dynamics and AI solutions
  • Work efficiently in a team setting on projects to successful completion, collaborating closely with internal partners at all levels
  • Exercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practices
  • Deliver services within the allocated budget
  • Develop functional and technical documentation that supports teams in understanding and adopting solutions
  • Regularly interact and build relationships with team members, managers, customers, and business partners
  • Assist with project management for selected projects, helping coordinate efforts across enterprise stakeholders to keep projects on track
  • Mentor and/or supervise staff, as assigned
  • Provide performance feedback to project staff and supervisors of staff
  • Operate independently
  • Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as required/assigned

Specialized Skills

  • Experience working in the A/E/C industry
  • Experience using and/or supporting users in the Microsoft Dynamics platform
  • Experience managing work in Azure Dev Ops

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is required. Experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Minimum eight years of professional experience in the areas of business advisory, data & analytics, solutions and/or software engineering, and/or IT infrastructure engineering
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and management skills
  • IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is strongly preferred
  • Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems
  • Ability to develop and maintain deep knowledge of customers, data, business, and markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
