Senior Business Analyst

Summary:

The Business Analyst is a senior practitioner experienced on large, complex Salesforce development projects, responsible for eliciting, documenting, and refining both functional and non-functional requirements for the SF VCL platform. This role is the translation layer between crisis-line end users, clinical/operational stakeholders, and the technical delivery team, and requires equal fluency in stakeholder facilitation and process/workflow modeling.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and refine functional and non-functional requirements for the SF VCL Salesforce platform in collaboration with VA stakeholders and the development team.
• Facilitate requirements sessions with both non-technical (layman) stakeholders and IT/technical teams, translating between the two.
• Build and maintain process models to analyze complex crisis-response workflows and recommend efficient improvement models for development.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and UAT to ensure delivered functionality traces back to documented requirements.
• Support change management activities tied to new releases and workflow changes.
• Author and maintain user stories/tickets in Jira (or equivalent), linking each to its source requirement to preserve end-to-end traceability from requirement to release.

Required Skills

• Senior Business Analyst experienced with large, complex development projects.
• Prior experience on VA or other federal Salesforce implementations supporting Veteran-focused or crisis/behavioral-health programs.
• Expertise gathering, documenting, and refining functional and non-functional requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with both layman stakeholders and IT/technical teams.
• Proficient in process modeling to analyze complex workflows and devise efficient improvement models for development.
• Strong analytical skills, change management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Jira or a comparable ticketing/requirements-management tool to document, link, and track requirements through delivery.
• Active Security Clearance is ideal

Required Qualifications

• Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
• Salesforce Certified Strategy Designer

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Public Sector Solutions, and Salesforce Government Cloud Plus.
• CBAP or equivalent business analysis certification.
• Comptia Security+ Certified
• DevOps/DevSecOps Certified
