Senior Business Analyst – BFSI

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced
Senior Business Analyst with strong BFSI domain expertise
to join our Solution & Quality CoE. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in business requirements, process analysis, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and end-to-end requirement ownership.

The candidate should have
minimum 3 years of BFSI experience
and demonstrated experience independently managing requirements through the complete delivery lifecycle, from elicitation to UAT sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business requirements through stakeholder workshops and discussions.
• 
  Prepare
  BRDs, FRDs/FSDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional requirements
  .
• 
  Create
  as-is and to-be process flows
  using BPMN/UML and tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or draw.io.
• 
  Perform impact analysis and effort estimation for change requests.
• 
  Work closely with Product, Business, Development, and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• 
  Support backlog grooming, prioritisation, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• 
  Own
  requirements traceability (RTM)
  and support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage.
• 
  Lead client-facing workshops and independently manage stakeholder expectations and escalations.
• 
  Identify regulatory and compliance implications within the relevant BFSI domain.
• 
  Contribute to product enhancements, continuous improvement, pre-sales, RFP responses, and solution documentation.
• 
  Support standardisation of BA processes, documentation, templates, and best practices.

Requirements

Required Skills

• 
  6+ years of total experience with
  4+ years of core Business Analyst experience
  .
• 
  3+ years of mandatory BFSI domain experience
  .
• 
  Strong requirements engineering: BRD, FRD/FSD, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Use Cases.
• 
  Process modelling using
  BPMN/UML
  .
• 
  Strong understanding of
  Agile/Scrum
  and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• 
  Intermediate
  SQL
  knowledge including joins, aggregations, and subqueries.
• 
  Understanding of
  REST/JSON APIs
  , Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• 
  Experience with
  Figma or Balsamiq
  for wireframing.
• 
  Experience with UAT, test scenario reviews, RTM, and defect management.
• 
  Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Good to Have

Exposure to BFSI standards and platforms such as:

• 
  ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, UPI, IMPS, NACH, NEFT/RTGS, FIX, or ACORD
• 
  KYC/AML, PCI-DSS, DPDP Act/GDPR, and relevant RBI/SEBI/IRDAI regulations
• 
  Power BI or Tableau
• 
  Core banking, payment switches, policy administration, or order management systems
• 
  Certifications such as
  CBAP/CCBA, CSPO, PSM-I, PSPO-I, NISM, NCFM, IRDAI, CDCS, or CAMS
  .
