The devotion market is a $44B opportunity in India (growing at 10% CAGR), which is primarily offline and unorganised. Of the $44B, the temples drive GMV of ~$27B in temple offerings, services, and commerce. There are 2M+ temples in India — about 10k of these temples have a strong historical and cultural significance. Tourism to these religious places is a $10B opportunity. The Sri Mandir app is the world's largest app for Hindu devotees and growing 20–25% month-on-month.

Role Overview

At AppsForBharat, data drives every product and business decision. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that influence product strategy, customer experience, and business growth.

You will partner closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership teams to analyse user behaviour, identify growth opportunities, measure business impact, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

What You'll Do

Data Analysis & Business Insights

• Analyse large and complex datasets to uncover actionable insights that improve product performance and business outcomes.
• Build dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics that enable teams to make informed decisions.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities across user acquisition, engagement, retention, monetisation, and operational metrics.

Product & Customer Analytics

• Deeply understand customer behaviour, user journeys, and product funnels to identify areas for optimisation.
• Perform cohort analysis, funnel analysis, segmentation, and retention analysis to improve user experience.
• Measure the impact of new product launches, features, and experiments using data.

Business Strategy & Decision Support

• Partner with Product, Marketing, Growth, Finance, and Engineering teams to solve business problems using data.
• Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for business stakeholders and leadership.
• Forecast business performance and support strategic planning through data-backed insights.

KPI Management & Experimentation

• Define, monitor, and optimise key business and product metrics including DAU, MAU, Retention, Conversion, AOV, CAC, LTV, Revenue, and GMV.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests and experiments to validate product and business hypotheses.
• Develop frameworks to monitor business health and identify early warning signals.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve data quality, and streamline analytical workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

What You'll Bring

Experience

• 4–7 years of experience in Business Analytics, Product Analytics, or Growth Analytics within a B2C/D2C product company or high-growth startup.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers, Growth, Marketing, and Business teams.

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working on large datasets.
• Ability to convert complex data into clear business recommendations and measurable outcomes.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL (mandatory).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar BI tools.
• Exposure to product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics (GA4), or Firebase Analytics is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Python or BigQuery is a plus.

Business & Product Understanding

• Strong understanding of product metrics, customer behaviour, experimentation, and growth funnels.
• Experience analysing customer acquisition, engagement, retention, monetisation, and business performance.

Communication & Collaboration

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Highly proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong ownership mindset with a passion for solving customer and business problems through data.
