Everfoth ECS is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work remotley

Everfoth ECS is seeking an innovative, meticulous, and highly communicative Senior Business Analyst to drive the modernization of a mission-critical legacy platform in support of the Department of Homeland Security. This role can be based in the Washington, DC area or performed remotely. You will partner closely with Full Stack and Data Engineers, architects, and product owners to transform a core legacy platform into a secure, scalable Cloud-based solution that improves information sharing and streamlines processes across the department.

This role will focus heavily on researching and gathering requirements, defining future-state business processes, and supporting a clear modernization roadmap that aligns with mission and stakeholder needs. You will play a critical role in translating mission objectives into clear, actionable requirements and user stories, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and validating that delivered capabilities meet business and operational expectations for a production, mission-critical system. As the team continues to expand, you will also support Agile ceremonies and processes, perform cross-team coordination, and investigate and present new technologies and initiatives that can enhance the platform and related workflows.

Salary Range: $130K+

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of work experience
  • Evaluate program materials and develop innovative approaches for improvement
  • Document and analyze business and functional requirements so that they may be accurately translated into process maps and technical system requirements
  • Create project schedules with dependencies and clear definitions of done that can be briefed out weekly to stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards, to include but not limited to basic system architectural diagrams, concepts of operations, monthly status reports
  • Support the development of briefings, agendas, and other general documentation support as directed, including training material and demonstration sessions for new and existing technologies to various DHS stakeholders
  • Create high-level briefings and communications materials for customers, management, and executive stakeholders
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Leverage Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence) to track project work and document information for the internal team and end users
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of appropriate reference materials
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various team members to understand project requirements
  • Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for information presentation and user experience
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
