We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst.

Principal responsibilities

End-to-end analysis and delivery support

  • Lead requirements definition and analysis activities across the delivery lifecycle, from initiation through development, testing, implementation and post-implementation, for assigned requests.
  • Ensure solutions are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned to intended business outcomes and end-to-end client journeys.

Deliverable management and prioritisation support

  • Manage a defined set of deliverables within the wider pipeline, ensuring work is captured, maintained, and reported in relevant systems.
  • Support prioritisation and sequencing discussions by providing clear analysis, options and impacts.

Change delivery

  • Contribute to complex, cross-functional and cross-product programmes using relevant methodology.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and delivery impacts early, escalating where needed to maintain momentum.

Governance, risk and control alignment

  • Ensure analysis outputs and delivery activities align to relevant Change Management and Risk Frameworks.
  • Proactively surface issues, support remediation plans, and maintain clear audit-ready documentation.
  • Identify dependencies, risks and delivery impacts, escalating to the Lead BA / Manager where appropriate.

Client onboarding and channel / product enablement

  • Support tracking and delivery of client onboarding to existing and new channels / products.
  • Manage dependencies and ensure readiness across stakeholders.

Stakeholder management and communication

  • Build effective relationships with clients, business sponsors, product partners, operations, technology, and change teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, steer discussions to decisions, and communicate trade-offs clearly and constructively.

Continuous improvement contribution

  • Identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities and BA ways of working.
  • Contribute to embedding best practice and lessons learned.

Subject-matter support

  • Act as a go-to specialist, advising stakeholders and helping solve ambiguous problems.

Knowledge sharing and mentoring

  • Share knowledge across GPD teams through collaboration and peer support
  • Provide informal or formal coaching/mentoring to other Business Analysts and reports

Requirements

  • Governance & reporting: follows governance requirements; supports set-up / closure aligned to Group standards.
  • Values & behaviours: role-models HSBC Values and encourages others through positive example.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
