Description & Requirements

Hybrid Working | Melbourne Preferred | Turn Experience into Impact

Bupa is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our HIOE CRM team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent opportunity. This position has been created to support a newly established, high-priority enterprise initiative, with delivery timelines accelerated from 2027 to 2026 to meet evolving business needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Business Analyst who thrives in complex environments, brings strong Dynamics 365 experience, and enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, you will lead end-to-end business analysis across large, complex initiatives—particularly those leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365. You will work closely with Product Owners, designers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to bridge business needs and technical delivery across discovery, design, and implementation.

This role does not have direct reports but plays a senior leadership role within the BA practice, providing guidance, mentoring, and thought leadership across multiple agile squads.

The preferred location for this role is Melbourne, however candidates based in NSW or QLD may also be considered. The role operates under a hybrid working model, with an expectation of two days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with senior business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Design Leads to understand challenges, pain points, and opportunities
  • Plan, facilitate, and lead discovery, requirements, and stakeholder workshops
  • Conduct cost–benefit analysis to support discovery and investment decisions
  • Document current and future state processes using BPMN or similar methodologies
  • Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and improved customer journeys using Dynamics 365 capabilities
  • Perform value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and prioritisation opportunities
  • Develop and maintain Epics, Features, User Stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritisation to ensure alignment to business outcomes
  • Collaborate with delivery teams across implementation, testing, defect triage, and UAT
  • Ensure requirements support regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues as required
  • Mentor and support Associate and Business Analysts
  • Contribute to BA and Agile Communities of Practice and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are a confident, analytical, and collaborative Senior Business Analyst with a strong track record of delivering complex change initiatives in enterprise environments. You bring the ability to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders, and translate complexity into clear, actionable outcomes.

You will bring:

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale initiatives
  • Experience leading analysis across Agile or hybrid deliveries
  • Strong experience working with legacy systems and modern platform transformation
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (highly desirable)
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other Business Analysts
  • Strong facilitation, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience across Agile, Hybrid, and/or Waterfall environments
  • Proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Miro, or Lucidchart
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Systems, or equivalent (desirable)
  • Agile certifications and healthcare/insurance experience (desirable)
