Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Business Analyst
What’s the role?
You’ll join our Pacific Banking Technology team at a pivotal moment of transformation. In this permanent, full time role, you’ll work at the heart of major technology and controls uplift initiatives that are reshaping how Pacific Banking operates day to day.
You’ll partner closely with business, technology, risk and delivery teams to understand how things work today, imagine how they could work better tomorrow, and turn that thinking into clear, practical requirements. Your work will span systems, processes, controls and data across a complex banking landscape, helping improve resilience, service quality and operational confidence.
You’ll facilitate workshops, bring people together around shared understanding, and create analysis artefacts that genuinely move work forward. This is a role with breadth, visibility and real impact, with space to grow your solution thinking over time.
This is a permanent role based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country, with hybrid working available.
What do I need?
• Strong experience in business or systems analysis within complex enterprise or regulated technology environments, ideally financial services
• Proven ability to lead requirements discovery, process and impact analysis, and produce clear documentation for medium to large initiatives
• Solid understanding of systems integration, data flows, process design, controls and operational dependencies across complex application landscapes
• Experience supporting delivery through testing, implementation and transition into business as usual, using agile or structured methods and tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Confidence facilitating workshops and working with a wide range of stakeholders, from subject matter experts through to senior leaders
