We have an exciting opportunity foraSenior Business AnalystatUL Standards & EngagementThis is a hybrid opportunity based inour Evanston, IL or Raleigh-Durham, NC office.

The Senior Business Analystwill support technology enabled services and initiatives to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. The Senior Business Analyst willleverageadvanced application and technical knowledge of software and system functions to inform technology solutions implementation, processimprovementand user experience optimization. The Senior Business Analyst will drive rigorous technical requirement discovery,identifysubstandard or inefficient system processes, and ensure systems are designed, tested, andmaintainedto support usability and operational excellence.

Whatyou’lllearnandachieve:

AstheSenior BusinessAnalyst,youwill play a key role in the rapid growth of ULas you:

  • Provide functional and operational supportoftechnologysoftware and systems. Drive continuous improvement of technology solutions andidentifyopportunities to meet evolving stakeholder needs and ULSE strategicobjectives

  • Lead comprehensive technical requirement gathering across functional areas, to support safetystandardsprocesses, regulatoryneedsand organizationalobjectives Ensure requirements are complete,traceableand aligned with priorities.

  • Analyze existing systems andmonitorperformance of technology solutions. Participate in testing and quality assurance assessments, conduct regularauditsand use data driven insights to offer recommendations on capabilities andoptimizefunctionality.

  • Validateuser requirements for systems in production. Continuously assess user feedback and evolving needs to inform system enhancements.

  • Support deployment and configuration of new systems,applicationsand updates. Provide ongoing education to end-users, create and deliver tailored training programs and materials.

  • Manage end-to-end projects, plan and execute activities across the project lifecycle and ensuretimelyand high-quality deliverables. Support ongoing project governance through clear documentation, risk management, and status reporting.

  • Build andmaintainrelationships with key stakeholders,identifyneeds and leverage technology solutions to support operational efficiency, streamlineprocessesand improve user experiences.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for system and applicant issues. Develop and apply end-to-end solutions and implement proactive strategies to address complex,undefinedand ambiguous challenges.

  • Drive collaboration within the team to ensure team-level goal achievement and enable successful adoption and integration of technology solutions.

  • Support andfacilitateinternal and external meetings. Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, and other deliverables.

  • Maintaincontinued awareness of industry trends, emergingtechnologiesand best practices to continually improve performance and effectiveness of technology solutions.

  • Independently execute tasks that range in complexity and scope.

  • Perform other duties as directed.

  • Strong communication,presentationand facilitation skills, withabilityto communicate key concepts and information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Positive and collaborative interpersonal skills, with proven capability in fostering collaboration and partnership across teams to develop solutions with broad impact.

  • Strategic thinker withabilityto innovate and adaptina dynamic industry landscape.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred
