An opportunity has become available to become part of the Financial Risk Trading Risk Management (TRM) department focusing on the strategic change projects impacting TRM. The role of senior Business Analyst will functionally report to the Head of TRM Continental Europe and together with a few other change colleagues you will represent the TRM Transformation team.

You will be part of the TRM Transformation team that manages and coordinates various strategic change projects, but also performs analysis and provides support to other TRM colleagues. The team is part of the FR TRM (Financial Risk – Trading Risk Management) department in Amsterdam. FR TRM is a global department within ING, responsible for market risk management related to trading activities.

The core activities of the team are coordinating and managing strategic change projects, mainly in relation to the FM Enhancement program, coordinating QBR processes, analysing requests and requirements, managing other internal stakeholders, all with the common goal to ensure that the TRM requirements are timely and completely delivered by the various ongoing change programs. Next to this, you will challenge the status quo and continuously look for improvements related to processes and systems.

Your key responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the role are:

• Participating in (and leading) global projects like the FM Enhancement program
• Coordinate and manage other related TRM change projects
• Connecting the dots between the various programs and identifying and managing dependencies
• Analyse complex business problems and propose IT solutions/enhancements
• Prepare steerco slide decks and present proposals and solutions
• Support TRM colleagues during change management and communicate progress
• Coordinate and manage QBR processes, i.e. ensuring that TRM requests are prioritised and delivered
• Participate in and contribute to FM Design Architecture meetings
• Monitor and manage continuous process improvements and follow up on outstanding issues
• Follow up on ad hoc requests

As a Senior Business Analyst you are/have:

• Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Maths, Engineering, Econometrics
• At least 8+ years market risk (and product control) experience
• Good understanding of financial products, value chain processes and proven analytical skills
• Project management experience with ability to manage stakeholders
• Pro-active, open minded, goal driven personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an agile environment
• Strong communicator (verbally and in writing) with attention to the overall picture and detail
• A team player who can work independently in a cross-functional and geographically dispersed organisation
• To be able to understand the TRM perspective in key change projects within the value chain
• A flexible approach to complex and urgent requests
• To be fluent in English
