Job Description

Senior Business Analyst

  • Location – Parramatta
  • Employment type – Ongoing Full-Time, hybrid working, 35 hours per week
  • Grade – Clerk Grade 9/10
  • Salary – $129,464 pa - $142,665 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Join a high‑performing digital delivery team and play a key role in delivering technology solutions that support customers, frontline staff, and multi‑agency operations. You’ll work across complex programs, modern platforms, and process and technology transformation initiatives.

This role suits an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong analysis, problem‑solving and stakeholder skills - someone who thrives in fast‑paced, and outcome‑driven environments.

Be part of our Major Digital and ICT Programs team to ensure software quality and support IT project delivery.

Your Impact:

  • Lead end‑to‑end business analysis across digital transformation and process improvement projects.
  • Facilitate discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping, requirements/user story development and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse and document current and future-state business processes, systems, data flows, and pain points.
  • Drive elicitation through workshops, interviews, observation and analysis of complex information.
  • Work with product owners, architects, SMEs and vendors to shape solution options and recommendations.
  • Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint readiness, scope planning and functional clarity.
  • Ensure traceability from business needs requirements testing change & implementation.
  • Develop artefacts including but not limited to business requirements, user stories, process maps, benefit assessments and BAU transition documentation.

What we’re looking for

An experienced Senior Business Analyst who is driven by outcomes and building strong relationships.

Key Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering IT/digital projects.
  • Expertise in requirements elicitation, process modelling, user stories, and analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, able to solve complex business problems.
  • Proven ability to navigate senior stakeholders, competing priorities and ambiguity
  • Experience working in waterfall and agile environments.
