The Social Investment Agency (SIA) is looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Business Administrator to join our Transformation, Technology and Enabling Services team.

Working in the Public Service

Reporting to the Manager Risk, Assurance and Governance, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team where your initiative, organisation and ability to anticipate needs will be highly valued.

What You'll Be Doing

You will:

• Support Executive Leadership Team, Board and governance meetings, ensuring everything runs smoothly from planning through to follow-up actions.
• Coordinate key people and capability activities, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development initiatives, and employee experience activities.
• Help drive organisational programmes and projects by coordinating activities, tracking actions and supporting reporting requirements.
• Support risk, assurance and governance processes that help the Agency operate effectively and meet its obligations.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation, becoming a trusted point of contact for advice, coordination and support.
• Contribute to business planning, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen how we work.
• Identify smarter and more efficient ways of working, helping improve systems, processes and administrative practices.

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience in a senior administration, coordination or business support role.
• Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building abilities, with confidence working with leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive mindset and a willingness to take ownership, solve problems and find practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and SharePoint.

Most importantly, you'll be a collaborative and proactive team player who enjoys continuous improvement and helping things run smoothly. Experience in governance, risk, programme coordination, HR administration or the public sector is beneficial, but we're equally interested in candidates with strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau

Band 13: $64,223 - $90,667. Appointments are typically made between $64,223 and $75,556, depending on skills and experience.
