We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join our expanding multidisciplinary engineering team at Omrania by Egis. The selected candidate will be based at Egis’s Cairo office, with periodic business visits to our headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This role is part of a dynamic, multinational team distributed across Riyadh, Amman, Bangalore, and Cairo. The successful candidate will contribute to high-profile transportation and infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider region, supporting the delivery of complex bridge and structural systems with a focus on design excellence, innovation, sustainability, and technical quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design and delivery of bridge and transportation structure projects from concept development through detailed design and construction support stages.
• Prepare, review, and validate bridge design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings in accordance with international standards and local regulations.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, composite, and cable-supported bridge structures.
• Conduct bridge assessments, load rating analyses, rehabilitation studies, and strengthening solutions for existing structures.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including highways, geotechnical, drainage, traffic, architecture, utilities, and construction specialists to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous professional development.
• Lead the development of bridge concepts, structural schemes, value engineering studies, and constructability assessments.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Prepare and present technical reports, design submissions, tender documents, and engineering proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews, independent checking processes, and technical audits to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Stay current with emerging bridge engineering technologies, digital design methodologies, BIM implementation, and industry best practices.
• Support quality assurance, risk management, and safety compliance throughout all project stages.
• Engage in client meetings, business development initiatives, and proposal preparation activities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural or Bridge Engineering from an accredited university.

• 8 to 15 years of experience in bridge engineering and transportation infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience in the design of highway bridges, interchanges, viaducts, flyovers, pedestrian bridges, railway structures, and related transportation infrastructure.

• Advanced knowledge of bridge engineering principles, structural analysis, and design methodologies.

• Proficiency in bridge analysis and design software such as:

• MIDAS Civil
• RM Bridge
• CSiBridge
• SAP2000
• AutoCAD and BIM platforms is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of international bridge design codes and standards including:

• AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
• Eurocodes
• Saudi Building Code (SBC) / MOMRA
• British Standards where applicable
• Relevant Ministry and authority requirements.

• Experience in seismic design, dynamic analysis, staged construction analysis, and durability design is desirable.

• Familiarity with bridge inspection, rehabilitation, and asset management practices.

• Experience delivering infrastructure projects in the Middle East is highly desirable.

• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work effectively within a multinational and multi-office environment.

• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
