Senior Brand Manager
Location: Sydney

The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for providing commercial input to early assessments and business cases, while building effective relationships with cross-functional team members, particularly in Sales, Medical, Market Access, and Regulatory Affairs, to enable robust planning and execution. This role involves managing the overall P&L for assigned products and developing short- and long-term sales and resource forecasts in collaboration with Commercial Effectiveness and cross-functional teams. The Senior Brand Manager drives the implementation of detailed marketing strategies for product launches and inline products, overseeing tactical plans, promotional campaign materials, and brand forecasting.

Marketing

  • Provide commercial input to relevant ‘Early Assessments’ and ‘Business Cases’ as needed
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional team members, particularly Sales, Medical, MAP and RA leads to enable robust planning and execution
  • Build effective relationships with relevant Regional and Global colleagues to enable robust planning and strategy development.
  • Develop and maintain short-and long-term sales and resource forecasts with validated assumptions, in collaboration with the Commercial Effectiveness and CFT members
  • Ensure budget aligns to brand strategic imperatives and closely manage budget monthly to ensure spend is within 5% allocated
  • Develop detailed marketing strategies launch and inline within the franchise, with detailed specific objectives, targets and tactics.
  • Commission Market Research as required to gather insights that shape the brand strategy.
  • Work closely with Market access to ensure successful reimbursement strategy

Execution

  • Drive successful implementation of marketing tactical plans, including implementation of portfolio tools, e.g. sales aids and digital plans
  • Drive and own the brand foreecast for monthly and annual evaluation.
  • Leads development and delivery of key promotional campaign materials & projects from insights to review, production and implementation.
  • Lead patient and customer journeys to inform strategy and tactics in line with customer preferences

  • Review effectiveness of marketing strategies against key performance indicators and developed KPI tracker
  • Manages brand finance and budgets, including appropriate management of brand resources.
  • Identifies insights using industry partnerships, market research, competitive intelligence, and understanding of disease areas.
  • Work collaboratively with medical team to develop and implement patient support programs, patient management system and PRO studies to add value offering and gain valuable patient utilisation insights
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of products, company developments, customers, and competitors. This will also include a full and complete knowledge of the product information and relevant clinical papers, and clinical developments within the therapeutic areas.
  • Works closely with NSM/sales force to ensure strong execution of strategic imperatives.
  • Review and triagulate data and insights to inform brand performance, strategy and tactics
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with business procedures and ethical standards and are cost-effective and executed within the defined budget.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Marketing/Science/Business
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated marketing Experience within Pharmaceutical Industry, preferrably with product launches.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Significant forecasting and P&L exposure essential
  • Skills in Microsoft including Excel and Power point
