Job Description

Tamatem is the leading mobile games publisher in MENA - and we are building the gaming infrastructure for the Arab world. Every investor deck, conference booth, partner one - pager, merch drop and hiring post is a claim about who we are.

We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer to own that claim.

You won’t inherit a finished system - you’ll set the guardrails, evolve the identity, and become the person the company routes brand decisions through. You’ll define how the Tamatem masterbrand shows up everywhere, and how our game brands sit under it without losing their own edge.

What You’ll Own

• Set the brand guardrails. Own the Tamatem identity system end-to-end - logo, typography, color, mascot, motion, tone in design - and make the call on what ships and what doesn’t. You are the final approver on brand output across the company.

• Evolve the system, don’t just maintain it. Refresh and extend the identity as Tamatem scales across Publishing, Studio, Tamatem Plus, and Playable Factory. Build the brand architecture that defines how our game brands relate to the masterbrand across marketing, store, partner and event surfaces.

• Ship the work that carries weight. Investor and partner decks, event booths and conference identity, employer branding, merch lines, social identity systems, company website assets, Tamtam mascot evolution, internal comms visuals.

• Build the toolkits that scale you. Templates, component libraries, asset kits and written guidelines that let Marketing, People, Comms and the games teams stay on-brand without a designer in the room. Your documentation should be the reference everyone cites.

• Make AI a real multiplier. Evaluate AI tools and models for brand workflows, make the buy/kill decisions, and integrate what works into the pipeline with measurable output gains. Adoption isn’t the bar - impact is.
• Partner across the company. Work directly with the People Team, Comms, Founders, Events, Marketing, UA and Game Art - and with external partners, agencies and vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years in brand and identity design, with clear ownership of a brand system - not just execution against someone else’s. Gaming, entertainment or digital media is a plus.
• A portfolio showing complete identity systems and how they held up in the wild: marketing, print, merch, events, digital, partner materials.
• Command of brand architecture - masterbrand and sub-brand relationships, endorsement models, naming systems.
• Deep craft in typography, layout, color systems and grid - including Arabic typography.
• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma. After Effects at a working level.
• Demonstrated AI fluency in a design workflow, with evidence of what it changed - speed, volume or quality.
• Track record of mentoring or coaching other designers.
• The judgment and communication to hold a line on brand with senior stakeholders, and the flexibility to know when the line should move.
• Comfort running several high-stakes projects at once against event and launch deadlines.

• Bonus Points
• Experience building brand systems for a portfolio of products, not a single brand.
• Fluency in Gulf and wider MENA visual culture - what reads as premium, local and current.
• Campaign creative and social design inside an established system.
• UI/UX work on branded digital products, internal tools or company web.
• Motion design or brand animation.
• Bilingual design practice (Arabic + English).
