Business Unit Overview

Marketing: The Marketing unit provides direction for all creative aspects of the group, including: branding, communications and digital media. They are tasked with producing marketing content for all segments of the business. The Marketing unit is our conduit of communication to the external market - responsible for positioning the suite of our products and services to maximise exposure and growth potential of our brand.

Role Purpose

The Senior Brand & Communications Manager, Sri Lanka is a seasoned communications professional who drives the agenda, shapes strategy, and holds the room. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Communications, with a dotted line to the Country Lead, this person is the communications authority for Colombo, a trusted advisor to senior leaders, a driving force behind brand excellence, and the engine behind how Superloop shows up in Sri Lanka.

You don't wait to be asked. You bring the ideas, you build the plan, and you drive it forward. You challenge thinking that doesn't serve the brand, you influence stakeholders at the most senior levels, and you develop communications programs that move the needl, working in close partnership with the Head of Brand & Comms to ensure everything is aligned to the broader group strategy before it goes live.

This role leads three core pillars:

Employee communications: Creating passionate Superloop advocates by developing and driving the internal communications strategy - not just cascading messages, but designing programs that shift attitudes, build culture, and land leadership's vision with real impact.

Events: Leading the end-to-end planning and delivery of flagship events that build the Superloop brand - from strategy through execution, with accountability for quality and outcomes.

Brand: Acting as the brand guardian and senior voice for Superloop in Sri Lanka, elevating our profile as an employer of choice, a technology and innovation leader, and an unleasher of career possibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the communications strategy for Colombo, leading campaigns, launches, and change programs with clarity and confidence, with sign-off from the Head of Brand & Comms

  • Act as a trusted advisor and communications counsel to the Country Lead and senior leadership team, proactively shaping messaging and influencing how decisions are communicated

  • Support Superloop news and announcements by creating blogs for the Superloop LinkedIn account and website

  • Lead end-to-end event management for major internal and external events - from concept and budget through to execution and post-event evaluation

  • Manage internal and external events (town halls, employee conferences, product launches, trade shows, and lunches) end-to-end, from ideation through to delivery

  • Build and execute brand awareness programs with measurable impact — not just presence, but preference

  • Lead agency and vendor relationships, holding partners accountable for outcomes

  • Own analytics and reporting - using data to make smart decisions and demonstrate ROI on brand and communications investment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field

  • 8+ years' experience in communications, brand, or marketing - ideally with exposure to corporate, B2B, and employer brand contexts

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage extended leadership team and frontline employees within the organisation, and communicate and articulate clear, effective messages that enhance and promote Superloop’s strategic objectives are essential.

  • Demonstrable experience owning strategies and programs, not just executing tasks handed down from above

  • Experience crafting a range of communications including media releases, blogs, and leadership messaging

  • Experience in monitoring and interpreting communication analytics.

  • Interest in working with senior leaders and executives to provide communication counsel and act as a trusted resource.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively under the pressure of last-minute deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Ability to work with confidential materials and build trust with key stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented, especially regarding validating clarity and accuracy of content/information.

  • Is proactive and takes initiative. Functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.

  • Must be results and outcome driven
