Position Summary

The Senior Bioprocess Associate uses current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in the execution of commercial manufacturing processes for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins used in medicines that are revolutionizing the treatment of serious disease.

Shift hours are M-TH Nights 9.30pm-7.30am

Key Responsibilities

  • Works on routine manufacturing assignments per written procedures that are moderately complex with minimal instructions, where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Revise and create process documents and assist with process related investigations
  • Train for proficiency in process automation and supporting business systems and in the operation of primary production equipment within the assigned functional area.
  • Operates primary production equipment within the assigned functional area (i.e. bioreactors, chromatography skids, media or buffer preparation equipment, etc.) as instructed.
  • Lead in maintaining material and components inventory level
  • Support a safe work environment and contribute to area specific initiatives associated with work safety
  • Weighs and checks raw materials. Assembles, cleans and sterilizes process equipment, monitors processes.
  • Completes work instructions and maintains a clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively uses in process automation systems (i.e. Delta V and Syncade Interactions, OSI/Pi Historian) and some supporting business systems (i.e. SAP. Trackwise, Maximo, etc.) to maintain production records.
  • Work on routine manufacturing assignments per written procedures that are moderately complex with minimal instructions
  • Assist in revising and creating process documents (i.e., SOPs and Batch Records) and assist with process-related investigations.
  • Assists with reviewing batch and exception reports associated with each manufacturing lot, in conjunction with supervisor and Quality representative.
  • Aid with area specific initiatives associated with work safety

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma is required. Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S., in science, engineering, biochemistry or related discipline, or its equivalent is desired but not required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of process operations experience in a biotechnology manufacturing facility subject to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
  • Practical knowledge of regulations such as GMP and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Prior experience successfully participating in work teams where personal accountability, attention to detail, collaboration, and results were expected.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in common computer tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based applications.
  • Previous work experience where attention to detail and personal accountability is critical to success.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable.
  • Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.

Compensation Overview:

Devens - MA - US: $29.83 - $36.15per hour

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.

Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs.
