Join UGL’s Engineering Team at a time of growth. We deliver major transport infrastructure with a diversified portfolio to include new energy, transmission, and the expanding data centre industry, giving our people exposure to a diverse and evolving national portfolio.

We’re currently delivering the LGCFR project as part of a joint Alliance with the work spanning both design and construction for new track, new and upgraded stations, and integration with live rail infrastructure.

Digital engineering and BIM sit at the centre of delivery, and to support this work we’ve created new Senior BIM Modeller roles that can be based out of Brisbane or Chatswood. The work covers the full design lifecycle, from detailed design through to design for constructiondelivering coordinated, constructionready digital models used by both design and construction teams.

About the role

As a hands-on Senior BIM Modeller, you’ll be responsible for producing and managing high quality 3D models and technical drawings. This is a technically engaging project requiring strong multi discipline coordination, delivery within constrained corridors, and highly coordinated models that support design, constructability and delivery in a live operational environment

You’ll work closely with engineers, other modellers and project teams to coordinate models, resolve clashes and ensure designs are ready for construction. You’ll also have the opportunity to support and guide other modellers, while contributing to the ongoing development of BIM and digital engineering practices across projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage accurate, detailed 3D BIM models and technical drawings.

  • Lead drawing production including layouts, schematics and diagrams.

  • Coordinate multidiscipline models, including clash detection and resolution.

  • Apply advanced Revit capability as the core platform, alongside AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revizto.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship while supporting model validation and handover processes.

About you

  • Experience in a similar BIM Modeller role within major infrastructure, transport or engineering projects.

  • Strong technical understanding across MEI, utilities electrical, or civil/structural disciplines, with full BIM lifecycle experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, with the ability to confidently model, coordinate and document complex designs.

  • Experience using AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revizto, with a solid understanding of ISO 19650 and digital engineering standards.

  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on mentoring, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
