Senior BIM Consultant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting the delivery of a major client portfolio of large-scale development and infrastructure projects.
The role is expected effectively contribute to the overall BIM strategy, information management, digital delivery governance, and stakeholder engagement across the programme, ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry best practices, and project objectives.
The candidate is expected to be able to provide technical leadership for BIM implementation, asset information management, data integration, reporting, and supply-chain compliance while driving innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and qualifications required
Extensive experience leading the implementation, governance, and delivery of BIM across large-scale development and infrastructure programmes, including oversight, assurance, and guidance of Project Management Consultants (PMCs), designers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Proven expertise in managing and maintaining federated BIM environments for complex programmes using platforms such as Revizto, Autodesk Forma.
Strong capability in developing BIM reporting frameworks, managing complex data environments, and delivering customized dashboards, user interfaces, and digital solutions tailored to client and stakeholder requirements.
Extensive experience in coordinating, tracking, and resolving asset and infrastructure interface issues through advanced BIM collaboration platforms, including Revizto and similar issue-management systems.
In-depth knowledge of BIM for Asset Information, including validation and review of asset data in compliance with COBie standards, Asset Information Requirements (AIR), and BIM-to-asset register integration processes.
Competency in automation, scripting, and data analytics using programming languages such as Python, C#, and related technologies, as well as visual programming tools including Dynamo, to automate workflows, retrieve data through APIs, and develop Power BI reporting solutions.
Extensive experience in authoring, implementing, and maintaining BIM documentation, including BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), BIM Management Plans, Information Management Protocols, QA/QC procedures, audit frameworks, and compliance strategies aligned with industry standards and client requirements.
Good understanding of BIM visualization technologies, immersive digital solutions, and virtual environments using tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, VR/AR platforms, and digital twin technologies.
Proven experience developing and maintaining Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), Asset Information Requirements (AIR), quality management frameworks, and BIM governance standards.
Lead BIM strategy development, programme-wide coordination meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure successful BIM implementation and project delivery.
Identify BIM-related risks, assess their impact on project objectives, and develop effective mitigation and governance strategies.
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, design teams, and contractors to drive BIM adoption and ensure alignment with project objectives, industry best practices, and organizational digital transformation goals.
Prepare detailed technical reports, assessments, and presentations in accordance with corporate documentation standards and project governance requirements.
Develop BIM capability assessment frameworks, supply-chain evaluation criteria, and tender documentation requirements, while leading BIM-related activities throughout procurement and tendering processes.
Support research, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging BIM technologies, digital engineering solutions, and industry trends.
Demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multidisciplinary teams and organizational levels.
Possess strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex BIM and digital engineering concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related built environment discipline.
Minimum 13 years of experience in BIM, Digital Delivery, or Information Management roles.
Proven experience managing PMCs, contractors, and consultants across large-scale programmes.
Advanced Proficiency in Power BI and other reporting and analytics platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Revizto and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Strong knowledge of automation, digital innovation, and programming tools, including Python, C#, and related technologies (highly desirable).
Experience with visualization, XR, and immersive technologies, including Unreal Engine and Unity (highly desirable).
Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 19650 and related international BIM and information management standards.
Proven experience in BIM-based site-wide interface coordination and issue management on major projects.
