We’re seeking a Senior Bid Manager to play a pivotal role in lifting the quality, consistency and impact of our bids across Australia. This is a senior, influential position where you’ll partner closely with leaders and technical teams to drive smarter pursuits, sharper messaging and better win outcomes.

What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll sit at the heart of our most important pursuits – providing strategic work-winning advice, guiding teams through WSP’s Business Development frameworks, and leading high‑quality submissions from capture through to close.

You will:

• Lead and manage complex, high‑value bids and proposals across the business
• Coach and mentor technical and bid teams in capture planning, bidding best practices, and WSP’s BD Integrated Management System
• Facilitate pursuit and bid workshops to shape win strategies, storyboards, win themes and client‑focused messages
• Provide confident, constructive leadership to elevate proposal quality across writing, reviewing, production and knowledge management
• Guide teams to produce compelling, compliant and client‑focused content that clearly differentiates WSP
• Champion the use of BD tools and processes to capture client intelligence, track pursuit activity and improve outcomes
• Analyse client and market feedback to continuously improve how we win work
• Contribute to training, knowledge sharing and the ongoing evolution of our work‑winning capability
• Build your profile as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in bidding and proposals

About you

You’re a seasoned bid professional who brings credibility, calm and clarity to high‑pressure pursuits. You’re confident influencing senior leaders, enjoy working collaboratively with technical experts, and take pride in producing best‑in‑class submissions that genuinely resonate with clients.

You’ll bring:

• A degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent experience
• APMP Practitioner Level Certification (CP APMP)
• 10+ years’ experience in winning work, sales, journalism or marketing, including at least 4 years in professional services
• Strong experience applying business development, sales and pursuit processes
• Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills
• The ability to juggle multiple bids while maintaining quality, structure and attention to detail
• A collaborative mindset, strong judgement and the confidence to positively challenge when it counts
