Senior BI / ELK Engineer

A public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior BI / ELK Engineer to support a high-security data intelligence and observability project. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure ELK-based monitoring and reporting platforms across Linux, Windows Server, and Docker environments.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Design and maintain ELK Stack architectures (Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana)
• 
  Build advanced dashboards, reporting, and monitoring solutions
• 
  Develop secure and scalable data pipelines with data quality controls
• 
  Configure alerting, anomaly detection, and observability frameworks
• 
  Integrate ELK with BI tools such as Power BI, Grafana, or Tableau
• 
  Manage Linux, Windows Server, and Docker environments
• 
  Ensure security, auditability, encryption, and access control compliance
• 
  Produce technical documentation and support high-availability infrastructures

Required Skills

• 
  Expert knowledge of ELK Stack and Business Intelligence platforms
• 
  Strong Linux and Windows Server administration experience
• 
  Advanced Docker and containerisation expertise
• 
  Scripting skills in Python, Ruby, or Bash
• 
  Experience with monitoring, analytics, and data modelling
• 
  Knowledge of security best practices and regulated environments
• 
  Minimum 10 years of experience in BI, observability, or data engineering
